FAQs for New Clients at Mile High Psychology

Have questions about starting therapy or coaching at Mile High Psychology? Explore answers to common inquiries below to learn more about what to expect.

Frequently Asked

Accepting New Clients: Is Mile High Psychology currently accepting new clients?

Yes – We are currently accepting new clients.

Getting Started: How do I begin addressing my issues with a therapist?

To get started as a new client or if you’ve been referred to our practice, simply schedule a complimentary 15-minute telephone consultation with Dr. Rob Leach. During this consultation, we will discuss your needs and answer any questions you have. If it seems that we can be of assistance, we will work together to schedule an initial appointment.

Medication Management: Does the practice provide this?

No – We do not prescribe medication or offer medication management.

Child and Adolescent Services: Are these available?

No – We do not provide services for children or adolescents. Mile High Psychology specializes in offering services for adults. Dr. Rob Leach focuses on individual therapy, couples counseling, and executive coaching for clients aged 25 and older.

Medicare and Medicaid: Do we accept Medicare and Medicaid?

No – Mile High Psychology has opted out of Medicare and, therefore, sees Medicare recipients on a self-pay basis. Mile High Psychology is not a Medicaid provider and is unable to offer services to Medicaid recipients.

Insurance: Do we accept health insurance?

Mile High Psychology operates as a self-pay practice, meaning clients pay directly for services. While we do not bill insurance directly, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance carrier for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Please note that you will need to manage this process with your insurance provider. Many clients also use their HSA or FSA card to pay for services.

Fees: What are your rates?

The rate for all services is $240 per hour. Billing is based on actual time spent, rounded to the nearest 15-minute increment. For example,

  • 30-minute coaching: $120
  • 45-minute therapy: $180
  • 60-minute couples session: $240
Appointment Options: Do we offer both in-person and online sessions?

Mile High Psychology provides flexible options to meet your needs. Dr. Rob Leach offers both in-person and online appointments for individual therapy, couples counseling, and executive coaching. Our office locations are in downtown Denver and Colorado Springs. Additionally, Dr. Leach offers tele-therapy services in most states (see map) and tele-coaching nationwide. Please note that while all mental health assessment services are provided in person at our office locations, forensic psychology services can be conducted either at our office or at an approved offsite facility.

Thank you!
We genuinely appreciate your attention to billing matters and thank you for your cooperation in promptly fulfilling your payment obligations.

Cancellation Policy: What is our policy on cancellations and no-shows?

Cancellations within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment or failure to show up for your appointment without notice (“no-show”) are subject to a fee. You will be charged for each occurrence. More information about our cancellation and no-show policy can be found in your Service Agreement. If you have any questions, please contact your therapist directly.

Good Faith Estimate: What is this and why does it matter?

A “Good Faith Estimate” is a written explanation of the expected cost of your medical care. It is required by law for healthcare providers to provide this estimate to patients without insurance or who are not using insurance. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for non-emergency items or services. It should be given to you at least 1 business day before your scheduled appointment. You can also request an estimate from any healthcare provider before scheduling. If you receive a bill that is $400 or more than the estimate, you can dispute it. Save a copy or take a picture of your Good Faith Estimate for reference. Learn more about Good Faith Estimates.

Mile High Psychology is happy to provide estimates for all services upon request and as required by law.
